GREAT NEWS FOR OWNERS OF CROPPED DOGS!
The Slovak Kennel Club (SKJ) has issued Circular No. 16/2025, announcing that the FCI is lifting the ban on showing cropped breeds in countries where it is not forbidden, Slovakia included — with immediate effect.
What does this mean?
The Nitradog Christmas Cup will be the first dog shows in Slovakia where cropped and/or docked dogs from the following 11 breeds can once again be shown and judged:
• Boxer
• Miniature Schnauzer
• Standard Schnauzer
• Giant Schnauzer
• Cane Corso
• Dobermann
• Miniature Pinscher
• Neapolitan Mastiff
• Great Dane
• Pinscher
• Rottweiler
This measure is based on the decision of the FCI General Assembly in Helsinki (6 August 2025), which reinstates and expands the validity of FCI Circular 8/2016.
Cropped dogs can once again proudly step into the show ring!
And we are truly excited to welcome them at Nitradog in just a few weeks.
