DOGCARNIVAL 2026 – Unofficial Hobby Carnival Show Full of Fun
After the final competitions of the NITRADOG Carnival Cup on Friday, January 30, 2026,the carnival dog show DOGCARNIVAL will begin.

• Who can participate?
Every dog (male or female) entered for the NITRADOG Carnival Cup, whose owners attend in stylish costumes – ideally matched with their four-legged companion.
• Which classes can be entered?
Registration is possible in the “hobby” class, which is not limited by age or any other conditions. We have not forgotten about couples and breeding groups.
• What is special about the pairs competition?
A pair can consist of dogs of the same or different breeds. They don’t have to belong to the same owner and may also be of the same sex. The main judging criteria will be the harmony between owners and their dogs – creativity, style, and overall impression.
• How will the breeder’s groups competition be held?
At least three dogs bred by the same breeder can participate. They can be from the same litter or of different breeds. The maximum number of dogs is not limited.
• How will the main competition be held?
Dogs (male and female) of all ages will be divided according to the 10 FCI groups, with the 11th group consisting of unrecognized breeds. The winners of all eleven groups will advance to the final, where the TOP 5 participants of DOGCARNIVAL 2026 will be selected.
• What are the entry fees?
Participation in DOGCARNIVAL 2026 is free of charge, as in previous years.
• When is the closing date?
The deadline for entries through the portal www.dogshow.sk is January 23, 2026.
• Who will be judging?
Let’s first say who will not be judging: the DOGCARNIVAL arbiters will not be official dog show judges.
Arbiters may be:
club representatives,
breeders,
dog owners,
handlers,
who attend the dogcarnival and are willing to take on this honorary role.
• Can an arbiter also show a dog?
Yes, an arbiter may show in competitions they are not judging. The only exception is the arbiter of the final BEST IN DOGCARNIVAL, who may only exhibit in the pairs and breeder’s groups competitions.
• How will the arbiters be selected?
On our Facebook page or by e-mail to dogcarnival@dogshow.sk you may nominate arbiters for specific groups, competitions, and the final.
– One person may be nominated for multiple groups or even the final.
– The nominator must have the consent of the nominated person, who will then be contacted.
– Nominations can be submitted until 05.12.2025
• How will the voting take place?
Public voting will open on December 07, 2025 and will close on January 05, 2026 at midnight.
The winner of the vote for each group becomes the arbiter of that group. If a person receives the most votes in multiple groups, they will choose which one they will judge.
• Who are our judges?
The judges’ voting has been successfully concluded, and you can view the selected judges on mydogshow.sk/dogcarnival.
- Special cases:
– The arbiter of the final BEST IN DOGCARNIVAL cannot be assigned to any other group.
– One arbiter may judge several groups only if:
– there are no other nominees,
– the nominees do not attend,
– or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
– In justified cases, the show committee may appoint arbiters directly.
