Today, another important fact about championships – something many exhibitors still don’t know!
In our mini-series about championships, here is a detail that is often overlooked but can significantly help you plan your entries:1️⃣ A dog may enter the Champion Class even if it already holds a champion title from another FCI member country – and is only starting or completing its Slovak Champion title.
2️⃣ Entering your dog in the Champion Class does not reduce the CAC requirements.
Still valid:
• 4× CAC,
• from two seasons,
• under two different judges,
(+ possible reductions for working breeds)
These conditions apply equally across Slovakia – no exceptions.
3️⃣ If you already have CACs from previous season(s), you can complete the Slovak Champion during the Nitradog Christmas Cup.
This is why the four December shows are a great opportunity to gain the last missing CAC.
Example:
• before 2025 you obtained 3× CAC,
• you need just one more,
• you enter four December shows
If you win the final CAC on Thursday:
→ you have completed the Slovak Champion title.
4️⃣ Important notice
Your dog must be entered into the Champion Class in advance.
Changing classes at the show is not possible.
5⃣ Something many exhibitors don’t know
If you confirm your title at the SKJ stand on Thursday,
→ from Friday the same dog can compete for CACs that already count towards the Grand Champion of Slovakia.
Possible ideal scenario:
• Friday – CAC
• Saturday – CAC
• Sunday – CAC
→ dog may become Grand Champion of Slovakia on Sunday
(Of course, nothing is guaranteed – it depends on competition, results and judges – but technically it is possible.)
