DOGCARNIVAL 2026 – Unofficial Hobby Carnival Show Full of Fun

After the final competitions of the NITRADOG Carnival Cup on Friday, January 30, 2026, the traditional evening party combined with the carnival show DOGCARNIVAL will begin.

• Who can participate?
Every dog (male or female) entered for the NITRADOG Carnival Cup, whose owners attend in stylish costumes – ideally matched with their four-legged companion.

• Which classes can be entered?
Registration is possible in the “hobby” class, which is not limited by age or any other conditions. We have not forgotten about couples and breeding groups.

• What is special about the pairs competition?
A pair can consist of dogs of the same or different breeds. They don’t have to belong to the same owner and may also be of the same sex. The main judging criteria will be the harmony between owners and their dogs – creativity, style, and overall impression.

• How will the breeder’s groups competition be held?
At least three dogs bred by the same breeder can participate. They can be from the same litter or of different breeds. The maximum number of dogs is not limited.

• How will the main competition be held?
Dogs (male and female) of all ages will be divided according to the 10 FCI groups, with the 11th group consisting of unrecognized breeds. The winners of all eleven groups will advance to the final, where the TOP 5 participants of DOGCARNIVAL 2026 will be selected.

• What are the entry fees?
Participation in DOGCARNIVAL 2026 is free of charge, as in previous years.

• When is the closing date?
The deadline for entries through the portal www.dogshow.sk is January 23, 2026.

• Who will be judging?

Let’s first say who will not be judging: the DOGCARNIVAL arbiters will not be official dog show judges.

Arbiters may be:
club representatives,
breeders,
dog owners,
handlers,
who attend the party and are willing to take on this honorary role.

• Can an arbiter also show a dog?
Yes, an arbiter may show in competitions they are not judging. The only exception is the arbiter of the final BEST IN DOGCARNIVAL, who may only exhibit in the pairs and breeder’s groups competitions.

• How will the arbiters be selected?
On our Facebook page or by e-mail to dogcarnival@dogshow.sk you may nominate arbiters for specific groups, competitions, and the final.

– One person may be nominated for multiple groups or even the final.
– The nominator must have the consent of the nominated person, who will then be contacted.
– Nominations can be submitted until November 30, 2025. 11. 2025.

• How will the voting take place?

1. 12. Public voting will open on December 1, 2025 and will close on December 31, 12. 2025 at midnight.

The winner of the vote for each group becomes the arbiter of that group. If a person receives the most votes in multiple groups, they will choose which one they will judge.

– The arbiter of the final BEST IN DOGCARNIVAL cannot be assigned to any other group.
– One arbiter may judge several groups only if:
– there are no other nominees,
– the nominees do not attend,
– or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
– In justified cases, the show committee may appoint arbiters directly.

As you know, it is very important to print your confirmation documents, which include your ring numbers. You may have noticed at the previous show that we have added a small but useful improvement – the QR code!

What is the QR code for?

Therefore, please make sure to print your numbers and always have them visible when entering the ring!

Dear exhibitors, we deeply appreciate that you have entered your dogs in the NITRADOG Carnival Cup 3x CACIB. An important part of it is also exhibitionism, which, in addition to expertise, also has great social importance and is the best promotion of cynology and individual dog breeds. We appreciate that you entered your dogs for the 4x CACIB NITRADOG. We would like to post some information that we believe will help especially those of you who do not show regularly or have not yet used online registration via www.dogshow.sk.

CONFIRMATION OF DOG ENTRY, STARTING (CATALOGUE) NUMBERS

After logging into the menu at www.dogshow.sk, just as you did when registering for the show, please download and print the identification – starting (catalogue) numbers. This single act replaces a long waiting before the start of the show. Each number includes the date, ring number, and a QR code.

MINICATALOG

You can find it on the website www.nitradog.sk, or you can download it directly here. It contains, among other things, a timetable of the judging of individual breeds in the rings, with the names of the judges and also with the timing. If you have a dog of a breed that has the start mentioned in the second part, it is sufficient if you are at the show ring only before the start of judging. In the minicatalog, you will find a timetable for the judging of the final competitions, a map of the showground, and other interesting information, such as the program in the activity ring.

ONLINE CATALOG

The online catalog saves our forests. It will be published each day before the start of the show at 8:00 AM on www.nitradog.sk, or you can access it using the QR code displayed on the information boards located around the exhibition area and at each ring.

RESULTS IN REAL-TIME

REMINDER AND TROPHIES

Each exhibitor will receive a written critique. Souvenir gift for all the days you are entered, can be picked up at any time in Hall M5 at the UKK shop stand. All you need is your start number with a unique QR code, which can also be found separately on the return form.

Trophies for the awards:

will be issued in when the results are written in pedigree. Come with a pedigree of your dog and your written critique. If you don’t want to write your results to the dog’s pedigree it’s not mandatory. If you are not interested in this action, the issue of trophies will be noted on the back of the critique. rophies are not sent additionally, they must be picked up at the show..

ONLINE CRITIQUES

Critiques will be written online. You can find them in your menu at www.dogshow.sk If you want to have them also in printed form, you can print it at any time in the comfort of your home, also to the other side of the critique card form that you will receive in the ring.

JUDGEMENTS AND DIPLOMAS

You can download the judgements and diplomas after the judging is finished in the www.dogshow.sk system. All you have to do is log in to your account, choose the “Judgements, invoices, and diplomas” section, and click the appropriate icon. As the name suggests, an invoice and a catalog with results are also available. If your dog or bitch has met the conditions for obtaining a special title (for example, NITRADOG WINNER…), the active “trophies” icon will also appear and redirect you to the “my dogs” section. In this case, you have the option to download the confirmation of the title in the card of the dog.

VET CONTROL

– Follow the instructions of the organizers and veterinarians

– Before going to the show, make sure that you have a pet passport with you, and that valid vaccinations. We recommend checking the functionality of the dog’s chip. You will avoid unnecessary inconveniences.

– Before arriving at the checkpoint, prepare your pet pass so that you don’t waste time looking for it.
